Multiply Sewing for Beginners is a FREE fully-funded programme to help adults across the UK to improve their numeracy skills.
The idea behind the course is to show that maths and numeracy are everyday skills. Sewing is maths!
We will help you develop your maths skills and be creative at the same time.

Entry Requirements
The course requires no previous qualifications or experience. The sessions are free of charge and open to all Cheshire East residents who are aged 19+ and who are currently working below GCSE at grade C / Level 4 in maths.
Who is the course aimed at?
Anyone (19+) who wants to improve their maths skills and gain confidence using maths in everyday situations.
Suitable if you are a beginner.
What will I study?
Throughout the course you will make and take home 6 machine sewn items, including a cushion cover, tote bag, drawstring bag and bunting.
You will cover measuring, angles, multiplication and geometry in a fun and relaxed environment.
The course is delivered one day per week, face to face at our Springboard classroom in Congleton.
All equipment and materials are provided.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through a range of activities. All students will have the option to progress onto further learning if desired.
Duration
Our courses run for six sessions for 2 and a half hours a week.
