Anyone who wishes to work on a construction site in the UK requires a CSCS card. Our end to end training and support ensures participants are ready to step on site.
This is a 3 day fully funded Level 1 qualification, designed to provide candidates with fundamental knowledge and understanding of health and safety in a construction environment.

The qualification covers risk assessment, working at height, manual handling, improving health and safety at work and the safe operation of equipment.
Individuals are required to achieve this Level 1 qualification and pass the CITB Operative Health, Safety and Environment test to obtain the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Labourers’ Green Card.
We will fund the training, the test and the client will apply fort their card. If employment is secured, and evidence provided, within 6 weeks of the date of the course we will reimburse the client and offer a £25 voucher to congratulate them on their new role.
Entry Requirements
There is no requirement for learners to have prior skills, knowledge or understanding; however, a basic level of maths and English is required.
For full funding eligibility, candidates must be aged 19+ from the 31st of August 2022 and be earning less than £18,500 a year.
A form of photographic ID is required to enable the candidate to take the test.
Who is the course aimed at?
Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment qualification is for anyone who wants to return to, or begin a career in construction. It is ideal for anyone wishing to apply for the Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) Labourer Card (Green Card), necessary for work on a UK construction site.
What will I study?
This course provides the learner with everything they need to know about maintaining and improving health and safety at work. It delivers essential knowledge about key terms, legal responsibilities and reasons for good health and safety on a construction site.
The learner will also learn about personal protective equipment, emergencies, accident reporting, and dealing with ill-health within the construction environment.
How will I be assessed?
As an individual or in small teams with peers a sequence of activities will be completed to gain your qualification, this will be assessed by your tutor daily and feedback given. |
