Multiply Excel to Excel is a FREE fully-funded programme to help adults get to grips with Microsoft Excel, a popular spreadsheet IT programme, which is useful at home and work.
Experience of using Excel is commonly required by employers.
Entry Requirements
The course requires no previous qualifications or experience. The sessions are free of charge and open to all Cheshire East residents who are aged 19+ and do not already have a GCSE at grade C / Level 4 in maths.
Who is the course aimed at?
Anyone (19+) who wants to improve their maths skills and gain confidence using maths in everyday situations.
Suitable if you are a beginner or have some prior experience of using Microsoft Excel. Ideal for anyone looking to get better at managing their bills, budgeting or wanting to improve their potential at work.
What will I study?
The course will focus on making and modifying Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
It will help to improve your competence in:
- Using standard mathematical formulas and functions
- Creating and formatting graphs and charts
- Using spreadsheets to monitor your household budget.
The objective of the course is to build confidence in maths and improve numeracy skills. The course is designed to be practical and relevant to everyday life, including managing money.

The courses are delivered by experienced tutors in an informal adult focused setting.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed through a range of activities. All students will have the option to gain a spreadsheet qualification.
Duration
The course is delivered one day per week, face to face at our Riverside Centre is Congleton.
There are 24 hours of guided learning time.
