About the Role:

We’re looking for someone who knows what it takes to create a successful production. Someone who has edited a variety of stylised videos and be aware of educational/tutorial videos

The editor must be ambitious and willing to push boundaries with their work. Working very closely with a small team to produce cohesive videos and work exceptionally hard to achieve purpose

Passion and skill – You care passionately about the fundamentals of FutureDJs: Music, education and technology. Approaching any task with exceptional problem-solving ability until the job is done. The environment is always changing, it can get demanding and the candidate has to be prepared for that, being comfortable with change and able to adapt to the situation

Position requires occasional ability to work from home

Main Responsibilities 

· Make and edit high-quality videos to brand guidelines but with your own unique way of storytelling; storyboarding and short-listing through to a final composition

· Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video’s creation

· Create an initial proposed storyboard draft of the video to present to clients and receive approval before beginning to digitally alter video

· Edit video to include preselected music, interviews, sound clips and other important aspects of the project

Skills Required:

· Creative experience in filmmaking and videography

· Motion Graphics/Animation ability highly favoured

· Up to date with new ways of doing thigs – bring fresh ideas

· Proficient in creating concept boards and other visual representations of planned edits for video projects

· Ability to understand the desired outcome of a project when meeting with clients and the ability to bring them to life

· Be able to think on your feet, put forward new ideas and above all else be an adaptable learner who can quickly understand video concepts

· Be able to edit with consistency and exceptional quality

· Working to deadlines with strong consistency

· Proficiency in Adobe CC Suites (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop) or preferred software

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate well with other creative professionals
