Students will gain the knowledge and skills related to the Health & Social Care sector. They will build confidence to achieve the credits required for a Level 1 Personal Safety and Safeguarding.

Entry Requirements

This course requires no previous learning and your Tutor will be on hand to guide you through the course and learning materials.

You can be in work to access this

As this course is funded through the UK Shared prosperity fund the criteria for enrolment are :

You must be aged 16 or over.

Be resident in Cheshire East

Been resident in the UK for the last 3 years.

Who is the course aimed at?

This course is aimed at anyone who is considering working with the Care sector, or who wishes to gain further insight into the range of opportunities available to them in the industry.

You may working and wish to progress in your role, or perhaps you are looking for a new sector to work in.

What will I study?

You will learn about the roles and responsibilities of the sector.

The skills, knowledge and attributes required by employers.

The scope of the industry and how your skills fit.

How will I be assessed?

Through the training and guidance of the tutor you will complete ongoing workbooks and assessment to achieve a Level 1 Award in Infection Control and Level 1 Award in Safeguarding.

Duration

The course runs for 4 consecutive days

9.30am – 2.30pm.

Lunch is provided for the first three days.
